The Pearl of the Richmond District

Frank McCoppin Elementary School, serving the Inner Richmond District, provides students with a standards-based program to help them develop skills that exceed California requirements.  Parents, students, and staff at this small school near Golden Gate Park have created an academic community dedicated to outstanding achievement yet attentive to the needs of the all its members.  We have high expectations for our children, encouraging them to aim for their personal best every day.  The faculty holds itself to the same standard, constantly seeking new ways to stimulate and inspire.

Give feedback on the mural project by Friday 9.22.17

Hello did you know McCoppin is getting a mural? Well it is, on the 6th Ave wall. The image of the artwork below is the current plan. AAWA has been granted permission and is ready to paint. They are looking for a final round of feedback from parents before they start. Have look at the survey linked below and add your thoughts by Friday 9.22.17. The mural is set to be painted in October/November.

News

9/7/17

To date, nearly 800,000 undocumented immigrant youth have been granted DACA status, which provides work authorization and temporary relief from deportation. The program has enabled our graduates to contribute to their communities by significantly increasing opportunities for higher education and jobs. Unfortunately, on Sept. 5, 2017, President Trump directed the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to phase out and eventually end DACA over two and half years.
